Rooster 4

The classic white cock-of-the-walk, he proudly demarcates the front of the fire-engine red garage doors of the now Winlock Historical Museum.  Although the doors are long sealed, each window bears an old black-and-white photo of the town throughout time: a church with a steeple, the corner of 1st & Walnut, which happens to be the main road into town from the I5 corridor.  There is a picture of the post office around the corner to Front Street one block over, in its former, booming glory – lined with shops now shuttered by time and economic depression.

Following the gaze of the Historical White Rooster, a red and gold feathered friend can be seen.
